Beachside Drive at The Beach Club is open to public

• Council accepted a report about new requirements for revenue policy disclosure and are going to incorporate the rules into the five year financial plan.

• Staff will prepare an amendment to the outdoor burning bylaw to set limits on the burning of waste on agricultural land.

• McDonald's Restaurant in Parksville had its development permit issued, so the eatery can update the exterior of the building.

• Gary O'Rourke, the director of engineering, said work on the Martindale crosswalk begins shortly and the Rushton, Doehle and Allwood project is next.

• Beachside Drive, the road that goes into the Beach Club Resort, is now open to the public.

• A proposed new rate structure for Development Cost Charges is going to be coming to council soon for council's consideration.
